Formulation Basis
H&F Qi and Blood Supplement Capsules are formulated based on classical Chinese Medicine theories for the vacuity of qi, blood, yin and yang pattern type. In accordance to the basic theory behind the formulation of the age-old formulas and the prevailing susceptibility of vacuity and heat in the body constitution of modern humans: red ginseng is used instead of ginseng to double the effect of supplementing the qi and increase the body’s driving force; Radix Rehmanniae supplements the true yin of the five viscera to invigorate the qi-producing source; Semen Ziziphi Spinosae, Silktree Albizziae Flower, etc. settle down and quiet the spirit to allow the five viscera to recuperate and regain vitality; the addition of Fructus Gardeniae which clears sthenic fire to relieve vexation and Rhizoma Pinelliae preparatae which dries dampness and fortify the spleen allows the organs to be nourished and the symptoms arising from the internal vacuity heat to be relieved. The combination of the herbs achieves the following medicinal actions: supplementing qi and yin, clearing the heart, purging the heat, relieving vexation and quieting the spirit.

Clinical Indications
Symptoms caused by internal illness and insufficiency, mind-damaging, spirit-taxing, anxiety overload, blood-damaging, essence-consuming due to hypersexuality, and regulation of menstruation, pregnancy and parturition: physical fatigue, vacuity vexation and insomnia, fright palpitation and fearful throbbing, etc. Commonly used in post-surgery and enduring illness recovery, etc.

Dosage and Administration
For oral administration, 2 capsules 2 times daily, or as per physician’s orders based on the assessment of the patient’s condition
