H&F Lung Clear Capsule combines the clinical experiences of the Ephedra, Apricot Kernel, Licorice, and Gypsum Decoction from Zhang Zhongjing, the Saint in Medicine from the Han Dynasty, the Lonicera and Forsythia Powder from Wu Jutong of the Qing Dynasty, and the use of Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) in the treatment of pestilence from Wu Youke of the Ming Dynasty. This formula is optimised for use in Singapore’s perennial hot and very humid climate by adding Radix Astragali seu Hedysari and Rhizoma Atractylodis Lancea to fortify the spleen and dispel dampness.

H&F Lung Clear Capsule uses Fructus Forsythiae and Flos Lonicerae as the sovereign medicinals to synergistically accentuate the heat-clearing, toxin-resolving and wind-heat-dispersing properties. Herba Ephedrae, Semen Armeniacae Amarum, and Gypsum Fibrosum act as the minister medicinals, where Herba Ephedrae diffuses the lung to calm panting and to release the exterior, Gypsum Fibrosum clears the interior heat, and Semen Armeniacae Amarum suppresses cough and calms panting. Radix Isatidis, Rhizoma Dryopteridis Crassirhizomae, Herba Houttuyniae, Mentholum, Herba Pogostemonis, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Radix et Rhizoma Rhodiolae Crenulatae, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Radix Astragali seu Hedysari and Rhizoma Atractylodis Lancea all act as assistant medicinals to clear and diffuse the lung, resolve toxins, discharge heat, resolve dampness and turbidity, fortify the spleen, move qi and harmonise the middle. All these herbs are combined together to clear pestilential qi, resolve toxins, diffuse the lung and discharge heat.

草本清瘟胶囊结合了汉代医圣张仲景的“麻杏石甘汤”、清代温病学家吴鞠通的“银翘散”及明代吴又可“擅用大黄治疗瘟疫”等的治疗外感病的用药经验。额外添加黄芪、苍术健脾祛湿，加味后更针对新加坡常年湿热的气候。

草本清瘟胶囊以连翘和金银花为君药，有清热解毒、疏散风热的功效，二者协同增效；炙麻黄、石膏和炒苦杏仁为臣药，炙麻黄有助于宣肺平喘，兼以解表，石膏清里热，苦杏仁止咳平喘；板蓝根、绵马贯众、鱼腥草、薄荷脑、广霍香、大黄、红景天、甘草、黄芪、苍术为佐药，可清肺解毒、宣肺泄热、化湿浊而健脾理气和中。诸药合用，共奏清瘟解毒、宣肺泄热之效。

Dosage and Administration

For oral administration, 3-4 capsules 2 times daily, or in accordance with physician’s orders.

每日2次，每次3-4粒。或遵医嘱。

Administration of this medicinal product should be stopped upon discovery of any adverse drug reactions or changes in physical appearance of the capsules.
