Formulation Basis
The human hair is supplied by the rich network of blood capillaries for nutrient supply to the papilla and bulb of hair. The melanin particles are synthesised by melanocytes in the skin whereby the biosynthetic pathway from tyrosine is catalysed by tyrosinase. The hectic lifestyle, workplace stress and other adverse stimuli in the modern lifestyle such as sorrow, sadness, panic, vexation, etc. coupled with malnutrition caused by poor eating habits such as irregular and imbalanced diets can result in endocrine disorders and nutritional imbalance which leads to greying of hair. Chinese Medicine considers hair loss and premature greying of hair to be caused by liver and kidney essence and blood deficiencies, and visceral disharmony, mainly through the supplementation of liver and kidney to replenish liver and kidney essence and blood sufficient for the darkening and nourishment of the hair, additionally through the cooling of blood and clearing of heat to promote qi and blood invigoration to help the nutrient supply to the hair.[1-2]
H&F Hair Formula Capsule uses the combination of herbs to regulate and supplement liver and kidney essence and blood for the nourishment of hair follicles and the relaxation of nervous tension to promote blood circulation and melanogenesis so as to darken hair and restore hair quality.

Clinical Indications
Premature greying of hair, hair loss, etc. due to liver and kidney deficiencies, visceral and bowel disharmony, autonomic nervous system tension, etc.
Dosage and Precaution
For oral administration, 2 capsules 2 times daily, or as per physician’s orders based on the assessment of the patient’s condition.
